The Digital Accessibility programme is a comprehensive program spanning eight weeks, designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to ensure digital accessibility for all users.

There is a current demand for accessibility professionals, and with the growth of global legal requirements to meet a certain level of accessibility, it's never been a better time to start. You will get to work with several teams in several business sectors.
The key activities that Digital Accessibility graduates perform include:
Accessibility and disability concepts
Adhering to standards, laws and management strategies
Building in accessibility and developing digital products
Applying assistive technologies and adapative strategies
Identify and address various types of accessibility barriers

The Skills Bootcamp is designed for beginners and those interested in Digital accessibility. If you are a developer the programme would add additional skills to your profile in relation to accessibility.
The program is for career changers or individuals who are looking to reskill or upskill themselves.
The tools a student needs are as followed:
A working laptop running Windows 10 or more, MacOS or any major distribution of Linux.
A working microphone and video camera.
A stable internet connection.
Chromebooks, tablets and phones are not conducive to undertaking the sessions.

Week 1: Advancing with accessibility and disability concepts
Week 2: Standards, laws, and management strategies
Week 3: Advancing with standards, laws and management strategies
Week 4: Basics of accessibility through universal design
Week 5: Advancing with accessibility through universal design
Week 6: Basics of assistive technologies and adaptive strategies
Week 7: Advancing with assistive technologies and adaptive strategies
Week 8: Capstone Project

Program completion certificate from Purple Beard Training.

Chance to take an optional add on exam or progress into an apprenticeship.
Qualify for in-demand jobs Digital accessibility consultant, Content developer, Front end or Full stack developer with accessibility expertise.
Support with Job search and application for up to 6+ months on completion of the program.
Capstone project by working on a variety of projects, which will give you the chance to practice your skills and build your portfolio.
