Learn about the role of a Data Engineer and learn how to build and maintain data pipelines. Data engineers are on the front lines of data strategy so that others don’t need to be. They are the first people to tackle the influx of structured and unstructured data that enters a company’s systems.

Prerequisites

The Bootcamp is designed for beginners. However, you must have Maths and English GCSE grades A to C or equivalent. In addition, you must have an interest in developing as a Data Engineer.

The programme is for career changers or individuals who are looking to reskill or upskill themselves.

The tools a student needs are as follows:

A working laptop running Windows 10 or more, MacOS or any major distribution of Linux
A working microphone and video camera
A stable internet connection
Chromebooks, tablets and phones are not conducive to undertaking the sessions
Solid foundation in Python
Basic understanding of database concepts
Familiarity with mid-level to advanced math, statistical concepts
Fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms
Basic command-line skills and familiarity with the Linux/UNIX environment
