Digital Transformation Bootcamp

What manufacturing data tells us?

Within two weeks of lockdown, nearly half of manufacturers had already shifted to digital working practices, with 94% having staff working from home.

91% say that they have benefitted from the adoption of new technology, and eight in ten now plan to continue using technology that they have adopted.

Most were indeed well prepared, having invested in digital skills over the past 12 months.

However, a third of manufacturers have not undertaken digital skills training this past year.

Two-thirds recently reported a lack of confidence to keep the pace with the digital skills they might need.

If two-thirds of manufacturers would gain the confidence to keep the pace with the necessary digitall skills, then...

The global economy would gain $5 trillion. Additional GDP potential due to upskilling, in manufacturing by 2030 increase to 4.4% Automation is likely to have a transformative effect on the manufacturing industry, with PwC research estimating that up to 45% of jobs could be automated by the end of the 2030s.

Do you know enough to continue your job in the future?

What is Digital Transformation?

Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business, fundamentally changing how you operate and deliver value to customers. It’s also a cultural change that requires organizations to continually challenge the status quo, experiment, and get comfortable with failure. It’s also defined as: Customer experience, Operational agility, Culture and leadership, Workforce enablement, Digital technology integration

What is Internet of Things (IOT)?

In a nutshell, the Internet of Things is the concept of connecting any device (so long as it has an on/off switch) to the Internet and to other connected devices. That includes an extraordinary number of objects of all shapes and sizes – from smart microwaves, which automatically cook your food for the right length of time, to self-driving cars, whose complex sensors detect objects in their path, to wearable fitness devices that measure your heart rate.

What are Principles of AI and Automation?

Human augmentation, Bias evaluation, Explainability by justification, Reproducible operations, Practical accuracy, Trust by privacy, Data risk awareness

Please remember: when filling out the form, please tick ‘YES” on the question ‘Are you MTA Member?’

It’s evident that in this new world, technology is not a choice, but a fundamental business strategy that must be interwoven into every part of an organisation. Transformation can enable better collaboration within and between organisations, more personalised ways of customer engagement, higher employee innovation and productivity, and more accurate insights from data, all of which help a business grow and give it a better chance of thriving post-pandemic.

When it comes to digital transformation, it’s tempting to fixate on the digital part—the platforms and processes—rather than the transformation part. The idea that you could just buy the right software and instantly increase productivity is appealing. But fundamentally, digital transformation is about changing how teams work together, not just what tech they’re using to get that work done.

For entry-level positions the salary ranges between £23,000 and £25,000. Graduate schemes in data analysis and business intelligence at bigger companies might offer a higher salary between £25,000 to £30,000. Experienced data analysts on average earn between £30,000 and £35,000, whilst high-level positions can earn £60,000 or more.

The program has been curated and designed for SME’s across a range of Industries including Manufacturing.

Technology managers and executives who seek to understand the technologies that drive digital transformation and how to implement them to drive digital transformation in their organisation.

Functional managers across industries looking to master different areas of transformation and implement a strategy within their function or organisation.

Owners of SMEs who need to understand on how some of the technologies can support with Business Improvements.
